Chess for Beginners

Students learn to play one of the world's oldest and most popular strategy games. Before the week is over, they'll know how all the pieces move, have a basic game strategy and be able to employ multiple game-enhancing tactics. NEW THIS SUMMER!
Art Fundamentals
Students Entering 3rd - 5th Grades
July 5-9, 10:30-11:30, $50
Students explore line, shape and color with graphite, acrylic paints and modeling clay. We'll provide the professional artist and all of the materials. You provide the kid!
Computer Programming (Introduction)
Students Entering 3rd - 4th Grades
Every Tuesday and Thursday this Sumer, 5:15-6:15
First Class - June 8 / Last Class-August 12 , $125
Through a healthy combination of interactive group activities and online coding games, students learn the logical sequencing which underlays programming languages. After this class, students will be ready for the next step: JavaScript! NEW THIS SUMMER! Scholarships available and made possible by our local partners at ProMan.
Engineers in Training
Students Entering 1st - 5th Grade
Every Wednesday Evening, 5:15 to 6:15,
First Wednesday-June 2, Last Wednesday-Aug. 11,
$10 Each Class / Only pay for the number of Wednesday's they will attend.
Our youngest students begin exploring the most fundamental physics, construction and engineering concepts. They develop dexterity, perseverance and collaboration skills through play! At the same time, with every task they accomplish, they're earning points toward building toys they can take home!
Medieval Machines
Students Entering 3rd or 4th Grade
June 7-11 OR August 2-6 12:30 - 1:30, $50
Students learn about simple machines in the coolest way: building catapults, trebuchets and ballistae with Legos and then testing them in battle! NEW THIS SUMMER!
Robotics
Students Entering 3rd or 4th Grade
June 14 -18 OR July 19-23, 12:30-1:30, $50
Students use the Lego Education WeDo construction sets to build and program working robots with motors and sensors. They'll learn basic principles of mechanics and block-coding logic, AND they'll take home a colorful and engaging robotics book for summer reading!
Electricity
Students Entering 3rd or 4th Grade
June 21-25 OR July 12 -16, 12:30-1:30, $50
Students explore the basics of electricity by constructing something new every day - circuits, motors, electromagnets and more! Each participant receives a hard-cover copy of How Does My House Work, which explains the behind-the-scenes operation of the energy and machines at work in our homes!
Rocket Science
Students Entering 3rd or 4th Grade
June 28 to July 2 OR August 9-13, 12:30 to 1:30, $50
Students learn basic principles of rocket science while constructing a different rocket every day! A Little Engineers: Space and Rockets coloring book is included!
Chemistry
Students Entering 3rd or 4th Grade
July 5-9 OR July 26 -30, 12:30-1:30, $50
Students perform a variety of experiments and observe exciting demonstrations while learning about matter, atoms, molecules and chemical reactions. This course includes a chemistry coloring book to help them visualize the science of elemental interactions we can't see!
Pneumatics
Students Entering 5th or 6th Grade
July 19-23, 1:45-2:45, $50
Students build working pneumatic systems (including an air compressor) with Lego Education bricks and pumps. They'll finish the week by making air-powered ball cannons!
Drones
Students Entering 5th or 6th Grade
July 12-16 OR August 9-13 , 1:45 to 2:45, $50
Students design, construct, control and crash Lego Drones while learning the physics of flight!
Robotics
Students Entering 5th or 6th Grade
June 28 to July 2 OR August 2-6, 1:45 to 2:45, $50
Students build Lego WeDo 2.0 robots with motors and sensors. Using a block-coding system, they program their bots to achieve a variety of challenging tasks. Along the way, they'll learn, collaboration, persistence and logical thinking!
Battle Bots
Students Entering 5th or 6th Grade
June 21-25 OR July 26-30 1:45-2:45, $50
Students build and customize Lego RC bots to play capture-the-flag! They'l learn about gear ratio and friction as they attempt to out-maneuver other robots on a ramp-laden playing field!
Computer Programming (JavaScript / Bots)
Students Entering 5th or 6th Grade
Every Tuesday & Thursday this Summer, 3:00-4:00
First Class - June 8 / Last Class- August 12 , $125
Students program the Sphero SPRK+ using a variety of programming methods: drawing, block and then JavaScript text. This is an incredibly fun way to introduce computer science to the next generation of programmers! Scholarships available and made possible by our local partners at ProMan.
Electronics
Students Entering 5th or 6th Grade

This is a great next step to follow our Electricity camp. Students move past the basics of circuits to build their own projects on breadboards. They'll get hands-on experience with motors, sensors, transistors and learn about current, amperage, voltage and much more! NEW THIS SUMMER!

Definitely the crowd favorite - students build, customize and battle RC Lego Technic robots designed by our very own people at The Well! Students will learn how to manage weight, leverage, gearing and friction as they attempt to disable their opponent!
Robotics
Students Entering 7th - 12th Grades
June 21-25, 3:00-4:00, $50
Students build Lego EV3 robots with motors and sensors. Using a more advanced block-coding system, they'll program their robots to navigate The Maze, designed and constructed by our people at The Well! This is a great opportunity for students to become familiar with the EV3 system prior to participating in our competition robotics program during the school year!
3-D Printing
Students Entering 7th - 12th Grades
July 26-30 OR August 2-6, 3:00-4:00, $50
Students learn to design their own 3D projects using TINKERCAD. Then, they'll see their ideas become reality using our 3-D printers! NEW THIS SUMMER!
Intro to Web Design
